Good Afternoon Quite a nice little album from 2001. Personally, I quite like this and the follow up "Motion Sickness" - not a bad band and worth checking out - there are a couple of cracking tunes on this one! One guy on Amazon said "sounds like early Ride singing a downbeat take of Neil Young & Crazy Horse's Down By the River" Anyway Amazon editorial said this: "Anyone attempting to tell the difference between Alan McGee's first record label (Creation) and his second one (Poptones) would be hard-pressed to do so on the basis of his signings. For January are as Creation-style a band as ever set its effects box to "Jangle With Feedback". I Heard Myself In You will come as good news, then, for those who crave pastoral guitar pop overshadowed with tasteful clouds of distortion. It's true that January can err on the side of the twee, a failing most evident when their generally keen ear for a melody lets them down. But for the most part there are some cracking tracks on here, particularly the leisured, dreamy opener "All Time"; and "Falling In", a loping, nine-minute psych-out. Plus there's plenty of slide guitar all round, which is never a bad thing" http://rapidshare.com/files/8659795/I_Heard_Myself_In_You.rar Current Location: Ireland Current Mood: calm
